For smaller or less complex systems, this can sometimes work fine and saves the effort of designing incremental test scaffolding. However, the Big Bang approach has significant drawbacks. Since everything is integrated in one step, when something goes wrong it can be difficult to pinpoint which component or interface caused the issue. For example, if the system crashes after the full firmware is loaded onto a device, the root cause could be anywhere: a miscommunication between two modules, an unhandled hardware interrupt, or a conflict in memory usage. With Big Bang integration, debugging is like finding a needle in a haystack because many components are involved at once.
